The BLESS Nature Center will be re-opening on July 5th! Bring your children for some free fun as they learn more about the natural world around them.


On June 25th, a verdict was rendered in the famous Syncrude case. Syncrude was found guilty of both charges, provincial and federal. Sentencing is expected in August.


On July 25th. BLESS members will be conducting a photo monitoring tour of the Big Lake area. Pictures will be taken and compared with photos of the same places five years ago. If you are interested in participating in the tour or for more details please email info@bless.ab.ca.


The City of St. Albert will be placing a cap over the former Riel dump and sewage lagoons near the BLESS shelter beginning in early July and running until late November or December. Expect trail closures and disruptions along the Red Willow trail between the rodeo grounds and Ray Gibbon Drive over that timeframe.
