BLESS welcomes its new and returning board members! The new Board consists of: Celebrate spring at the BLESS platform on April 17 and 24. Springing to Life is a chance to welcome our feathered migratory friends on their return journey from southern climes. Come out and help with the bird count. Dan and others will be out early on both mornings (until noon) with binoculars and tally board to record the numbers and species of returning birds. All are welcome to participate, learn about birds or just enjoy some spring weather, fresh air and good conversation. BLESS is participating in Earth Day this year at Fort Edmonton Park on Sunday April 18th with tubs of aquatic creatures that kids love to learn about. Volunteers to help staff the display would be most welcome. Please drop a note to info@bless.ab.ca if you can help. Spruce up the Sturgeon is coming up on May 16! To volunteer, meet up with organizers behind St. Albert Place or at City Hall (river side). The event goes from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. If, on any of your travels near the lake, you see live fish in distress, please contact the Fish and Wildlife department so that they can be moved. |
