BLESS wants to contribute positively to the communities around Big Lake. Although resources are limited, BLESS is able to provide the following kinds of contributions:

  • Presentations to schools and other organized groups. This can include informative slide talks about the Big Lake wetlands or other presentations to fit your needs.

  • Field trips for schools and other organized groups. This can include informative hikes along the Big Lake wetlands or "show and tell" at the BLESS viewing platform.

  • Attendance at Open Houses and other public events. BLESS can use its displays for purposes tailored to the events.

  • Advice on potential impacts to the Big Lake wetlands. This can include discussions with developers who need a better understanding of potential environmental effects of their projects.

  • Provision of resource materials or reference information.
